5 Stars Great Spoon Rest
Really like this spoon rest! Takes up little treasured counter space and looks great! Easy to clean. Goes so well with other stainless steel items in my kitchen.

5 Stars Excellent spoon rest
I love this spoon rest.

It’s sleek looking and functional. It is slanted inward as to not allow liquids from spilling over. I can fit either a large spoon or two small spoons on it.

It’s great to help me keep organized when cooking multiple items.

I’d highly recommend this product.

5 Stars Artistic Spoon Rest
I finally found a spoon rest that is “pretty” enough for my wife to allow in the kitchen. It is extremely functional, easy to clean, and looks more like a piece of art than a spoon rest.

5 Stars sleek spoon rest
if you’re into the sleek, modern look, you will love this spoon rest. I didn’t want a ceramic spoon rest like my mom had in the shape of a cow, I wanted something simple and stainless steel to match the rest of my kitchen. This spoon rest was perfect. It’s a nice size so you can fit more than 1 spatula on it at a time when cooking.

5 Stars Form & Function…
Being stainless steel, this spoon rest is practical and it’s design has garnered it a permanent place on my kitchen counter top. I absolutely love it!

Go ahead, lick your finger! Also great for getting the last spread out of jelly jars.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Great Product
This is a really fun product! Not exactly practical, but a great gift for a baker, pastry chef, or just someone who loves to lick the leftover cookie dough out of the bowl. I recommend this for a kid or a kid at heart!

5 Stars adorable and handy
This is the most adorable little gadget that I own. Its great for getting the last bit out of a jar. How I wish I had this when my sons were growing up when they were going through their peanut butter phase. The only thing I recommend is after the first couple washings to lightly sand the wood and oil the handle as you would your good wooden spoons to seal the moisture out for the future washings. Great little scraper!!

Tovolo Red Silicone Solid Spoon 14 Inch

by Kitchen Utensils on July 4, 2009

Tovolo Red Silicone Solid Spoon 14 Inch

The right tools make any job so much easier–and that holds especially true in a busy kitchen. Tovolo’s silicone mixing spoons offer long, oval shaped handles that sit snugly in the hand and stay cool to the touch. Made from 18/10 stainless steel, they also resist rust and corrosion so they’re water-friendly to frequent soaks in the sink or turns in the dishwasher. The modern silicone working ends are heat resistant to 600 degrees F and feature ample sizing with thick rims and bright, inviting hues. This 14-inch version has a solid spoon bowl in vibrant red. Hearty and attractive, it’s sure to be an essential chef’s aid for years to come. –Kara Karll

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars The ONLY spoon to buy
I finally found a great spoon to use with non-stick cookware. It works like the old wooden spoons did — but a lot easier to clean & you can put it in the dishwasher. It stirs heavy stiff foods just as easily as light fluffy things. It doesn’t bend like a lot of plastic spoons. It’s heat proof so I don’t have to worry about it melting. I have thrown out all my other “plastic” spoons. They were worthless. Give this one a try — you won’t be sorry.

5 Stars Today’s Review: SPOON!
Hey everyone, it’s me! I’m here to review the products and give you my Scrutinizing opinion! Consumer products beware, MWAHAHA!

The object of my scrutiny today will be this SPOON! I needed something to help me slurp my soup, but no matter what I tried nothing seemed to work! I first tried a cheese grater. I had the basic idea right as I tried to scoop up the soup with the grater, but the object was very clumsy and the soup ran out of the holes. Back to the drawing board.

Next I tried a long leather boot. Don’t ask me where I got this, teehee. The boot held the soup ok, but it was very difficult getting the soup in and out of this large, shiny shoe. I had no choice but to dump the soup right into it from the bowl, and then sort of drink it out of the boot. But the boot was so long and clumsy that I just ended up pouring hot soup all over my face! MEDIC!

Probably the worst of my attempts included me using an old copy of the New York Times I had lying around. The paper really just seemed to soak up the soup leaving nothing but soggy paper and noodles. The only way I could eat the broth was by eating the paper. Ugh…I don’t feel so good.

Great things come to those who wait; I logged onto this site and searched and guess what I found? Yeah, this SPOON! The product arrived in pristine condition and was ready to use right out of the box. I immediatly heated up a bowl of Camp Bells Chicken noodle and sure enough this item did the trick. To make matters better, I found that this spoon entertains the young and the elderly. I heartedly recommend this spoon to other soup consumers such as myself, it’s Mmmm Mmmm good!

5 Stars Best Spoon I’ve Ever Used
Love this spoon! Easy to clean as almost nothing sticks to it and it won’t absorb water like a wooden spoon, so it’s easier to sanitize and it’s dishwasher safe :)

Also, the edge acts like a squeegee which is perfect when you’re trying to get that last bit of sauce out of a pan– a nice feature previously unknown to me :)

I should note that the handle is, in fact, conductive of heat and can get uncomfortably warm if left in the wrong area on the stove. Given that the handle *is* metal, this should be a no-brainer. That said, I should clarify that heat does not transfer at all through the silicone end of the spoon.

I plan on replacing all my spoons with these :)

5 Stars A great all-purpose kitchen spoon!
These spoons are great for mixing, stirring, scooping… I used to use wooden spoons in the kitchen but have replaced them all with these spoons – in all 4 colors!

Condiments on Ice

Condiments on Ice

Acrylic 5 Compartment Service Bar with ice chamber below. Perfect forall entertaining, indoors or outdoors. Hinged lid keeps the cold in &the bugs out. Dishwasher Safe. Each compartment holds 2-Cups. Skid resistant rubber feet. 161/2″ x 61/2″ x 51/4″.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Great way to get kids healthy snacks
I got this as a way to avoid the afterschool rush for chips and cookies. I find that it helps the adults, too, to have an easy healthy snack sitting on the counter. We arrive and put ice in it and dump in baby carrots, grape tomatoes and some fruit like grapes (I always seem to have these on hand). Then I will chop something like cucumbers, zucchini, broccoli or whatever I have in the bin with the intention of using these later for dinner, soup or in a salad — so the effort isn’t wasted. The leftovers that are reusable go back in the fridge or in baggies for the kid’s lunchbox.

Oh, and it’s a great for parties. I’ve used it to keep shrimp cold in two of the bins, use one for cocktail sauce and the other two for olives and lime slices for drinks.

5 Stars Attractive and Functional
Love it that the unit is clear – so you can see when ice is needed. The top stays open when needed and keeps pests out when closed. The individual units lift out so that left-over amounts can easily be stowed in the fridge for another day. I envision using it not just for condiments – but also for chili toppings and make-your-own-pizza fixings!

5 Stars awesome
this product has helped me with my business tremendously!!! I do many outdoor events and with the ice holder on the bottom, it helps to keep my dips last a lot longer. I highly recommend!!!!

5 Stars Family veggie tray
We plan on keeping this out during the day to encourage family members to eat more veggies throughout the day. It will make them more accessible and visible (thanks to the clear container!), while keeping them fresh (thanks to the lid and ice)!

5 Stars Garnish/Condiment Container
Love this product!! Keeps vegetables or condiments cold and crisp as long as the ice stays solid. When ice melts, just pour water off and add more ice. Very convenient and handy for parties or anytime you serve condiments or fresh vegetables or fruit.

KitchenAid 4 pc Culinary Utensil Set Red

KitchenAid 4-pc. Culinary Utensil Set – Red

User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars Nice, but big
I own alot of these KitchenAid red utensils and my only complaint is that they are too big. The handles are heavier than the bottom part so you can’t leave the spoon or spatula resting in the pot on the stove, it’ll just flip out, unless you have really tall pots and pans. Andre the Giant might enjoy using these, but I tend to reach for my other smaller spoons and turners before I use one of these. I have never had a problem with water getting into the handle.

4 Stars I don’t care what they say…I like them.
I have read through a few of the reviews and I really like my set. I have had mine for well over a year and I use at least one EVERY day. I wash them on the top rack of my dishwasher and I have never had water issues in the handle. Yes the handles are large and heavy, but I prefer that to something that is going to break with the use and abuse mine see. For those picky people, when using a shallow dish/pot, just flip the spoon over, leaning the spoon into the dish/pot with the handle resting on the table/shelf. It’s not that big of a deal. Anyway, love my KitchenAid utensils and if something happens to any of them, I WILL purchase the same thing again!!

2 Stars These tools have several drawbacks
Food (especially eggs) stick and even worse, these tools are handle heavy so they easily fall out of a skillet making a mess.

1 Star What a joke
I bought these for my daughter because they were inexpensive and she needed a lot of kitchen stuff fast.

First of all they are way too CLUNKY and take up WAY too much room. The handles are really fat and don’t feel comfortable in the hand. Straight and fat and odd to hold. We have tried to put them in a crock so that they will be handy while cooking. Handles take up way too much room in crock, too. If you’re any kind of a cook at all these are terrible!! They are awkward to use-very awkward.

2 Stars Just awful
I have almost the entire “Red” collection from KitchenAid, and these are the only dissapointment for me. They are really bulky and the hold water inside them. Everywhere that has a seam from silver banding gets full of water. Everytime I wash them I have to shake them for a few minutes until all the water gets out them, otherwise it drips into whatever pot you are cooking with. I am thinking about giving them away or donating them to a charity. But I almost feel bad sideling someone else whith a cruddy product. Overall I DO NOT advise buying these!!
