My wife had a previous one that lasted 3 years, used daily. It has a powerful 9 amp motor but tends to be a little loud. My wife likes the flip out piece for corners and along the wall edge.

Pros: Very Powerful, lightweight
Cons: TOO LOUD. Seriously. I threw it out because I could not take it anymore. In addition, the plastic, flip down thing is finicky.
I suppose if you wear ear plugs it is okay. Not for me. Yuck.

This little vacuum works very hard! It is easy to empty out the debris. The only cons are that I wish the cord was longer and that the little flip thingy in the front does not seem to be very effective. Other than that, a great hand held vac!

This is a very strong, determined handheld! At first I was skeptical whether this little vacuum could do the job. I have owned this for over 4 months now and LOVE it. It engulfs all I want it to! Not just crumbs in the kitchen, either! The real test was how easily it sucks up the exponential hair on the floor with gusto, and can attack my rugs too. I love how I can switch attachments to get into those hard to reach places – vital to a handheld! A+!!!

Let’s not be so harsh about this little Dirt Devil, i’ve seen some 2 stars rating about this product and i think i should add my comment as an owner.
It is a small vacuum and intented for small cleaning job. So if you’re afraid of cleaning the dirt bag so often, you may need a bigger vacuum for your purpose.
I use it to clean my room, vacuum my car and furnitures etc. and it does the job wonderfully. The suction is strong and will amaze you with the result plus the dirt filter is easy to clean and washable.
final words: it’s loud, it sucks hard, it blows hard, it’s awkward to hold but it’s a powerful little dirt devil and for the price, i would buy another one.
